The Government of Karnataka on September 24, 2026, issued notification on Land Development Approval outside Local Planning Areas.
The competent authority has directed that applications for technical approval of land development and building plans located outside Local Planning Areas shall be processed in accordance with the Karnataka Town and Country Planning (Development of Land in areas other than Local Planning Areas) Regulations, 2025, framed under Section 4-K of the Karnataka Town and Country Planning (Amendment) Act, 2021.
Accordingly, cases relating to technical approval for construction plans for various purposes in areas outside Local Planning Areas shall be examined and dealt with under the powers provided under the said Regulations and Section 4-K(4) of the Act. The prescribed examination fee under Rule 26 is required to be remitted to the concerned office under the specified government account.
